Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 29, 2026
Overview
Veelo ("we", "our", "the app") is a voice-powered note-taking app. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Voice Input: Your speech is processed on-device by Apple's Speech Recognition framework and sent to our backend for AI processing. We do not store audio recordings.
- Note Content: Your notes, reminders, and timestamps are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Notes are not uploaded to our servers for storage.
- AI Processing: Transcribed text is sent to Azure OpenAI for processing. This data is used solely to generate your notes and is not retained by us or Azure after processing.
- Device Token: We use Apple DeviceCheck to verify genuine devices. This does not identify you personally.
- Subscription Data: Subscription status is managed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not process or store payment information.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your name, email, or contact information.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Third-Party Services
Data Retention
All notes are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app removes all data. We do not maintain server-side copies of your notes.
Security
All communication between the app and our backend uses TLS 1.2+. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain. API keys are managed via Azure Key Vault.
Children's Privacy
Veelo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your Rights
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control. You can delete any note or remove the app entirely to erase all data.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
